Merle, I am back in the fray. Had been sidelined for a little while. Found you gone and and the site AWOL. Figured the ax man had come and hacked away. Sad, but true. On a list of an old DJ that send out a couple of tunes a day to a closed mailin...

Hi Merle
You have quite a few members now. Great!
Are you still on mp?
A lot of people came back.
This is a great site. Thank you for making it.

THIS SOUNDS INTERESTING
Turn your PC into a powerful web server in seconds!
Easy File Sharing Web Server contains several built-in systems including HTTP/HTTPS Web Server, multi-threads database system, Bulletin Board System, Server Script system, Password Protection system. Users just need to install Easy File Sharing Web Server and no other software. All without additional configuration.
You may create a virtual folder from your hard disk; visitors may upload/download files to/from it. Easy File Sharing Web Server is much easier to use than a typical FTP server. It is also a web based file management solution that allows you to manage files on your web server just with a web browser instead of a FTP client, it also provides extended features which are impossible with FTP such as zipping and unzipping files.

Merle, I just read you message above. I would have thought you would have been given warning. When you upload anything now, you have to prove you have copywrite therefore I only upload a few of the tracks. I think as long as we dont have the full album..however I think it would be nice to have at least been given the chance to remove what they wanted. Just to close your site like that is bad.
Ning.com is good to have as a backup but there is something about MP. In sayting that people are loading up music as though there was no problem. I shall write to ask them if they would close me down or give me warning...just to see what they say. I would have said that they didnt have time to go through every site, so I am wondering why yours was targeted.
Before I write ....a message to everyone else..has anyone else been closed down ....AND has anyone else written to MP to find out the ins and outs of this.?

Look forward to your reply....and sorry you are not on MP....hope you come back and use both sites.

Just to let you know you are missed.

Hey Merle,

Maybe the weather sucks and the work is piling up, but who cares?
It's the weekend, so let's all have a great one.

Drinks on me!
(doesn't cost me anything when I offer it online), lol

Thanks for the accept, Merle
.
I think this baby is off to a good start. Oftentimes, a thing that starts with a bang also dies off too quickly. Slow and steady is the best way to go.

Cheers!

A Possible New Direction For The Billboard Project

I have a proposal for all members of the Billboard Project at NING.com. I am considering using three internet sites in conjunction with this project that might help keep our sharing files with one another under the radar. I'll list the three sites and how they may work together, and then ask for your feedback regarding this issue.

Site # 1: dukeofdisc.ning.com

This will be where the "contacts" gather. From here we can share and socialize as usual, but also we can post our links to our other si… Continue

The Axe Has Been Laid To The Root

Greetings fellow Multipliers. I just discovered that my site on Multiply.com has been deleted. I haven't checked all my email to see if I have any official warning from Multiply. I can only assume that the content that I had posted was in violation of their terms of service agreement. It probably has something to do with the RIAA suit they are currently undergoing.

As it happened, I joined Multiply almost 1 year ago to the date. We were able to do something that to my knowledge had not been don… Continue
